Product Description
Schuck Weld on Hitch for Custom Install | 810
Model 810 – Weld on hitch for custom install. Unit is not powder coated and must be taken apart when welding. Tongue weight is 2,000 lbs., with 50,000 lbs. pulling capacity. Maximum towing for the vehicle is determined by the manufacturer.
Key Benefits:
- Fights Compression, Doesn’t Bottom Out Early
Unlike spring hitches that start compressing and “bottom out” quickly, Schuck Cushion Hitches are engineered to resist compression and won’t reach their final stage of compression until over 40,000 lbs. of pressure. That means more control and stability under heavy loads. - Protects Your Truck & Trailer
The advanced cushion design reduces the shock loads that transfer into your drive train, frame, and trailer, helping minimize wear on critical components over time. - Smoother, Quieter Ride
Injection-molded urethane cushions and high-density polyurethane bearings absorb both minor and major tongue thrust shocks—whether you’re towing on the highway or off-road. With no metal-to-metal contact, you get a noticeably smoother and quieter towing experience. - Reduces Driver Fatigue
By absorbing harsh bumps, jolts, and trailer “chucking,” Schuck Cushion Hitches help keep the ride more comfortable and controlled—leading to less driver fatigue on long hauls. - Virtually Maintenance-Free
The innovative cushion system and durable construction mean less maintenance, less noise, and fewer problems compared to traditional spring-style receiver hitches. - Durable Powder-Coated Finish
Every Schuck Cushion Hitch features a tough powder-coated finish for long-lasting corrosion resistance and a clean, professional look.
Cushion vs. Spring – What Makes Schuck Different?
Traditional Spring Hitches:
- Begin compressing at a set weight and often bottom out quickly
- Can transfer more shock and vibration into your truck, trailer, and driver
- Often involve metal-to-metal contact, causing noise and added wear
Schuck Cushion Hitches:
- Fight compression and maintain effectiveness up to and beyond 40,000 lbs. of pressure
- Use injection-molded urethane cushions to absorb end-thrust shock
- Use high-density polyurethane bearings to support increased tongue loads
- No metal-to-metal contact → smoother, quieter, more comfortable tow
- Designed for both highway and off-road towing conditions
Ideal For
- Heavy equipment and ag towing
- RVs, campers, and toy haulers
- Livestock and cargo trailers
- Anyone who wants less wear on equipment and more comfort in the driver’s seat
Durability & Warranty
- One-year warranty on parts and workmanship from the date of purchase (shipping not included).
