Concentrate is a surfactant for use with various herbicides to improve their performance. Surfactants help the herbicide to “stick” to the plant and thus it is more readily absorbed; leading to improved performance of the herbicide in killing targeted weeds. Surfactants are strongly encouraged when using some herbicides such as quinclorac.

Application Rate: 1-2 pints per acre
Minimum of 20 gallons of spray per acre.

Understanding Different Herbicides In basic terms, herbicides will typically fall into one of the following categories; pre-emergent or post-emergent. It is important to understand how the herbicide you are using works.
Pre-Emergent Herbicides are applied to the soil to help prevent weeds from growing. How long a pre-emergent herbicide works and what specific weed species it works on will vary with each herbicide and application rate.
Post-Emergent Herbicides are used to kill weeds that are already growing. These herbicides are sometimes selective to kill only certain weed/plant species and sometimes are non-selective, meaning they kill almost any plant they come into contact with. Post-emergent herbicides always work best on smaller, young, vigorously growing weeds.
