Application Rate:

Minimum of 20 gallons of spray per acre. 2 quarts Simazine per acre.
Rate varies by treatment site, target weeds, crop, soils, weather, equipment, etc. Always read and follow label instructions, Real World will not answer herbicide application questions.

Understanding Different Herbicides In basic terms, herbicides will typically fall into one of the following categories; pre-emergent or post-emergent. It is important to understand how the herbicide you are using works.

Pre-Emergent Herbicides are applied to the soil to help prevent weeds from growing. How long a pre-emergent herbicide works and what specific weed species it works on will vary with each herbicide and application rate.

Post-Emergent Herbicides are used to kill weeds that are already growing. These herbicides are sometimes selective to kill only certain weed/plant species and sometimes are non-selective, meaning they kill almost any plant they come into contact with. Post-emergent herbicides always work best on smaller, young, vigorously growing weeds.
